Gentle waves lap at the beach. Ebbing and flowing In constant harmony. Loud waves crash upon the rocks. Throwing mist into the air Causing chaos. But they aren't so different. Each goes out And then comes back Only to start where it began. It reaches a peak. Only to get pulled And return to the rest Of the waves before it. Then it comes back. Yet, in a different form. Reincarnate.

Death is a sad thing. Everyone gets sad Depressed, and dejected. Often they get mad And ask why Mother Nature, God, or whoever Took their loved ones Away from them. But how often Do they stop to consider All of the times That they took away One of Mother Nature's Children, Or beat up One of God's kids? It seems only fair That they lose what they love For eating an animal, Or gossiping about someone That they don't even Know. Who ever said That it was alright To do any of that?

I've always been lonely. Friends have come and gone, Like waves on a beach, Getting closer and closer to me Only to disappear. So I've always identified myself With loneliness. And that's made me think: Doesn't loneliness Need a friend too? So why not me?

Life is hard. Full of troubles And regrets. All sorts of things Never go as planned. Sadness and crying Are commonplace things. But what is a teardrop Other than rain On the ashes of a fire? For, when it lands On the hot earth It provides a source Of energy and growth So that life may Once again return To the forest.

You know, People always seem to live for the big things in life. The big events. Graduations. Marriages. Anniversaries. But what about the small things? Why don't live for those, too? After all, They are what lead us to the big things in life. So, without them, What would there be?

As I glance at the sparrows Flying in the park, My longing to be with them grows Stronger and stronger With each passing glance. How nice it would be To be able to break free Of these accursed chains And simply fly about Wherever I pleased.

New doors bring us the chance To go to new places. But old doors don't always Prove to be able To take us back to the places That we once were at And in love with.

Even the biggest tree In the forest Can spread Its roots out Only so far.
